Zain Saudi Arabia customers support Association of Disabled Children

Donations can still be made by sending an SMS to 5050

On the occasion of the International Day for the Disabled on December 3, 2010, Zain Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) customers started making donations of 10 SR each to the Association of Disabled Children
by sending a blank SMS to the unified number 5050. The response to the initiative, once the number was announced, was immediate and plentiful, with donations continuing to flow in.
Abdullah Bin Hussein Al Damer, Head of Zain KSA’s public relations department, said that the company was once again proud of a Corporate Social Responsibility program that uses modern technology to help those less fortunate and thanked the members of the Association of Disabled Children, praising their humanitarian work across the Kingdom.
He recalled similar programs in the past, most notably for kidney patients (5060) and those suffering from cancer (5070). Most recently it has worked with the Riyadh-based Saudi Arabian Association for People with Hearing Impairments. “Being disabled does not prevent one from having dreams and ambitions and being an active member of society,” he said.
